API credentials
Digital keys that allow the platform to connect to external software. They are mainly tools for developers or technical users..
Back-end
The “hidden part” of a website or platform, where administrators manage data, users, and content. It is not visible to regular users.
Blended Learning
A mixed learning model that combines online training, either asynchronous or live, with in-person training.
Captcha
A test used to verify that you are a human being and not a robot. A common example is clicking “I’m not a robot” or selecting specific images.
Carousels
Graphic elements, usually images or text boxes, that scroll automatically, like a “carousel” of content on a homepage or main page.
Chatbot
An automated virtual assistant that interacts with users via chat. It can answer frequently asked questions and support customer service processes.
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets)
A style language used for the web. It controls the look of a website, including colors, layout, fonts, and spacing.
CSV file
A simple file format often used to store lists or tables of data, similar to an Excel spreadsheet, and useful for importing or exporting information on the platform.
Detailed logs
Detailed logs are files or data streams that record activities, events, and errors within a system, application, server, or network in a thorough and granular way.
E-commerce
A system that allows courses to be bought and sold online through the platform using digital payment methods.
FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions with ready-made answers. They help users solve common doubts without contacting support.
Front-end
The “visible face” of the platform — the part that users see and interact with.
ISO certification
An international certification based on globally recognized technical and management standards. VITECO is certified ISO 9001:2015, ISO/IEC 27001:2017, ISO 27017:2015 e ISO 27018:2019 for software design, development and support, and for the design, development and delivery of training using e-learning methodology.
JSON
JSON, JavaScript Object Notation, is a lightweight text format used to represent and exchange structured data, typically between client and server.
Layout
The way text, images, and buttons are visually organized within a page.
LMS (Learning Management System)
A platform used to manage training, such as e-Logos. It allows courses to be uploaded, progress to be monitored, and certificates to be generated.
Meta description
A short description of a web page shown in Google search results. It briefly explains what the page content is about.
Meta title
The title displayed in search engines, such as Google, when users search for a course or web page.
Residential Module
The residential module is the in-person part of a FAD learning path, designed to integrate the online experience with practical or assessment activities, while still being managed through the digital platform. It may include logistical information such as location, schedules, teachers, and maps, as well as participant registration.
Report
A collection of data and statistics showing what happens on the platform, such as how many users completed courses.
SAAS (Software as a Service)
A software distribution model in which applications are hosted on remote servers and accessed via the internet. Instead of buying and installing software on a device, users pay a subscription to use it online. It is scalable, automatically updated, and accessible from anywhere.
SCORM
A standard format for e-learning content. It allows “packaged” courses compatible with many different platforms to be uploaded.
SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
Techniques used to make courses or web pages easier to find on Google and other search engines.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
An identification code used to track courses as if they were products in an online store.
Slug
The final part of a web address, URL, that identifies a specific page. Example: www.mysite.com/basic-course → basic-course is the slug.
Template
A predefined model that can be reused to easily create pages, certificates, quizzes, and more.
URL (Uniform Resource Locator)
The address of a web page, such as https://www.coursename.com. It is what users type or click to access the page.
Webinar
An online lesson or conference, live or recorded, that learners can attend remotely.
XML file
A type of file used to structure and exchange data electronically. It is also commonly used for electronic invoices.
XSL file
A file used to define how XML data should be displayed or transformed. It is not the same as an Excel spreadsheet.
